Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Greek Wine Tasting by Cinque collects and uses personal data when you visit greekwinetasting.gr, contact us, or request a wine experience.

1. Who we are

The data controller is Cinque Wine Deli EE, Voreou 10, Athens, Greece, operating this website as Greek Wine Tasting by Cinque.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@cinque.gr.

2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Enquiry and booking-request data: name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, company name, number of guests, preferred date, time and location, selected experience, food-pairing and style preferences, budget category, occasion and any information you include in your message.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, date and time, and diagnostic or security information.
  • Consent data: your cookie and analytics choices, including when and how those choices were recorded.
  • Correspondence: messages and follow-up communications between you and our team.

3. Why we use personal data and our legal bases

  • To answer enquiries, prepare proposals and take steps you request before a booking or contract.
  • To provide and administer a booked service and communicate with you about it.
  • To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and our services, based on our legitimate interests where those interests do not override your rights.
  • To use non-essential cookies and analytics where you have given consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. Contact and experience-request forms

Our website forms use Contact Form 7. Submitted information is sent by email to authorised Cinque personnel so that we can respond to your request. We do not currently use a WordPress database add-on to retain copies of form submissions inside the website. Messages may remain in our business email systems for as long as needed to handle the request, manage any resulting booking, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.

Please do not include sensitive personal data in a free-text message unless it is necessary for us to safely provide the requested experience.

5. Cookies, consent and analytics

We use CookieYes to display our consent banner and remember your cookie choices. Necessary technologies may operate without consent where they are required for the website to function or for security. Non-essential analytics storage and cookies are controlled by your consent preferences.

We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit, with Google Consent Mode enabled, to understand website traffic and interactions. Depending on your choices and the services enabled, analytics may include page views, downloads, video engagement, form interactions, device and browser information, referring sources and approximate location. We also use Independent Analytics, a WordPress analytics tool, to obtain aggregated website traffic information.

You can accept, reject or change non-essential cookie choices through the consent banner or the cookie-settings control available on the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Who receives personal data

Access is limited to authorised Cinque personnel and service providers that help us operate the website and communications, such as website hosting and maintenance providers, email providers, Google Analytics and Site Kit, CookieYes and related technical services. Providers may act as processors or, in some cases, as independent controllers under their own terms and privacy notices.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a lawful business reorganisation.

7. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside Greece or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

8. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The period depends on whether an enquiry becomes a booking, the need for follow-up, applicable legal and accounting requirements, security needs and the possibility of legal claims. Analytics and consent records are retained according to the relevant service settings and your choices. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required.

9. Your data-protection rights

Subject to the conditions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • receive information about and access your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure or restriction of processing;
  • receive data you provided in a portable format where applicable;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise a right, email info@cinque.gr. We may need information to verify your identity. You may also contact or complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children

Our services and website are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website. Wine-related services are intended for adults of legal drinking age.

12. Third-party websites and embedded content

The website may contain links to or content from third-party websites. Those services may collect information under their own privacy notices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technologies or legal obligations change. The current version and its update date will always appear on this page.
